The Chamber of Commerce is the voice that represents private sector interests in the Cook Islands  It is a voluntary organization of individuals and businesses who join together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interests of our island nation.

 

Our Vision

We want to play a business leadership role and position ourselves to take advantage of the potential we know we have. We want to be viewed as an important leader in the business community and we want our members to see us as an organisation proud to belong to and the business organisation recognised as the voice of business in the Cook Islands.


Our Mission

“To serve the membership by providing leadership and influencing effective change for a healthy business environment”.

The Chamber is governed by a constitution and is run by an executive consisting of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three (3) Ordinary Members. The Secretary is employed on a full or part time basis. The other members of the executive are elected annually ( 1st July to 30th of June) by the AGM and work without remuneration.

The regular membership is divided into four groups depending of number of employees. The chamber also welcomes Associate Membership from overseas organisations trading in the Cook Islands as well as Affiliated Members from local organisations (for example in the outer islands). Prospective new members please print out this blank Membership Subscription Form, fill it in and return it with appropriate payment. Membership is not automatic, but in the unlikely event that the membership is declined, the cheque will be returned. The complete Constitution can be downloaded here.

A General Meeting of all members may be called to resolve special issues.
